Ketu from the southern tip of the Moon also known as “Chayya Graha” or shady planet is considered an evil and spiritually beneficial planet. Astronomically, Ketu and Rahu designate the intersection points of the sun and moon paths as they move on the celestial sphere. Therefore, Rahu and Ketu are called the northern and southern lunar nodes, respectively.
